Memphis
Hospitality Industry

Welcome to LodgingGuide's hospitality industry listings for the Memphis area.

Memphis for its relatively small size and mid-country situation, though growing rapidly, has been the site of some of the more powerful cultural events in American history, some positive, some not. Memphis is the origin of the first railroad to connect the Mississippi River to the Atlantic Ocean, the focal point of Elvis Presley’s career and Graceland Mansion, a flash point in struggles with integration and the assassination of Martin Luther King, and now one of the country’s music capitals, where Mississippi Delta and Chicago blues traditions meet on Beale Street. Also noted for its barbecued ribs, the Rolling Stones, when they last visited, ordered 1,000 pounds of them from Rendezvous.
